<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;</span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Her funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday February 7, 2012 at American Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. Jan FitzGibbon will officiate. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. </span></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Ramona JoAnn Franson was born on Monday September 7, 1931 to Oscar and Martha (Johnson) Franson at their family farm northwest of Holmquist, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in Bristol, South Dakota graduating in 1949. </span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span></span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">On November 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Herr at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bristol. The couple made their home in Webster, South Dakota. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>Ramona worked many years as a beautician until she shifted gears and began working at Dakotah Inc. in 1980. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>She was employed there for 21 years.</span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">She was a member of American Lutheran Church in Webster. Ramona loved music and enjoyed being in the Adult Choir at American Lutheran Church for many years. She was also active in Ruth Circle and W.E.L.C.A.</span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Ramona passed away Friday February 3, 2012 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 27 days.</span></span></b></p>

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.</span></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Duane Allen Nolte was born on Tuesday, October 18, 1932 to August and Hazel (Berg) Nolte at Peabody Memorial Hospital in Webster.&nbsp; The family lived on a farm near Butler in Valley Township, Day County, South Dakota.&nbsp; He was baptized at the Swedish Lutheran Church in Bristol and confirmed at Butler Lutheran Church.&nbsp; He attended country school near his home, continued elementary school at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls and then at Jamestown Crippled Children&rsquo;s Hospital in North Dakota.</span></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Sun Dial Manor Chapel in Bristol. Rev. Kristin Ostercamp will officiate. Inurnment will be in Webster Cemetery.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">Marlys Louise Magnus was born at Webster, South Dakota on Tuesday, August 23, 1922, she was the only child of William and Pauline (Lena) Magnus and the granddaughter of Martha Magnus, one of the area&rsquo;s last surviving early pioneers.&nbsp; She grew up in Webster and graduated from Webster High School. She lived her entire life in Webster,&nbsp; except for a year spent in California where she met Kenneth Callen, a soldier from Missouri stationed in Santa Monica.&nbsp; He went to war and she returned to South Dakota. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">In 1945, after the war, he returned to South Dakota and they were married on December 9, 1945, a marriage that lasted until his death in 1988.&nbsp; Marlys held a variety of jobs in Webster, including working at Halbkat&rsquo;s Drug Store, the telephone company, the Webster Caf&eacute;, as office assistant to Dr. William Duncan, and she sewed at Dakotah, Inc.&nbsp; For a number of years after the death of her husband, she served as a volunteer at the Prairie Museum.&nbsp; She also sewed for the St. John&rsquo;s Lutheran Church quilt project. She has resided at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol for the past three years.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">Marlys passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Bristol, South Dakota at the age of 89 years, 5 months and 2 days.</span></p>

<p class="ecxmsonormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: auto 0in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><b>Paul William Wagner was born on Friday, December 10, 1915 to Paul and Laura (Schmidt) Wagner at Steele, North Dakota. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith and was confirmed at Langford Lutheran Church in Langford, South Dakota. Throughout his childhood he attended various country grade schools in the rural Groton, South Dakota area. After completing his education he traveled to numerous states working as a hired farmhand.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>In 1940 he obtained his auctioneering certification and began his own auctioneering business which he ran for the next 50 years.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>In 1941, Paul was working in San Francisco, California when WWII began and then took a job with the United States government doing construction work in Maui, Hawaii. &nbsp;</b></span></span></p>
<p class="ecxmsonormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: auto 0in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><b>On September 24, 1943, he married Vanda Christensen at Clarks Grove, Minnesota. To this union six children were born. The couple made their home and farmed in the Andover, South Dakota area until 1952 when they moved to a farm northwest of Roslyn, South Dakota.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Paul&rsquo;s great passion for farming was his motivation to start his own farming operation.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Vanda passed away on December 23, 1985.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>In addition to farming, Paul was dedicated to being active in many organizations.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>He was a member of Roslyn Lutheran Church and served on the church council for many years. He was also on the board of directors for Lake Region Electric Association, Security Bank, and Soil Conservation Service. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>He was granted &ldquo;Friend of 4-H&rdquo; award for his volunteer auctioneering services and also received the meritorious service award from the Day County Crop Improvement Association.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></b></span></span></p>
<p class="ecxmsonormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: auto 0in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><b>In 1987, he married Jackie Sippel and the couple made their home on the family farm near Roslyn. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>Paul loved traveling in his motor home and the couple spent several years wintering in Texas. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>He continued to be actively involved in farming until moving to Groton in 2007.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>&nbsp;</b></span></span></p>
<p class="ecxmsonormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: auto 0in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><b>He enjoyed playing cards (especially solitaire), playing pool, current events, watching his grandchildren&rsquo;s sporting events, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.&nbsp;</b></span></span></p>
<p class="ecxmsonormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: auto 0in;"><b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">He is survived by his wife Jackie of Groton, SD, four children; Cheryl (Jay) Dwight of Langford, SD, Bill (Mary) Wagner of Roslyn, SD, Marilyn (Jim) Vietor of Pierre, SD, and Terry (Patty) Wagner of Roslyn, SD, two step-sons, David Sippel and Dana (Aimee) Sippel both of Pierpont, SD, one brother Carroll (Billie) Wagner of Groton, SD, 11 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vanda, two sons, Loren and Allen, one grandson Michael Vietor, five brothers and three sisters.</span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">She was united in marriage to Gordon Engstrom on October 15, 1949 at Egeland Lutheran Church south of Waubay.&nbsp; After their marriage the couple farmed south of Webster in Highland Township for two years and then in 1952 moved to a farm in Egeland Township where they farmed.&nbsp; In 1987 the couple moved off the farm to a rural home west of Waubay.&nbsp; In 1977 she went to work for Dakotah, Inc. in Webster and worked there until her retirement in 1993.&nbsp; Gordon passed away in 1995.&nbsp; She moved to Webster in 2003 and entered Bethesda Home in Webster in November 2009.</span></span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">She was a member of Egeland Lutheran Church and was active in Ladies Aide, Circle, quilting and taught Sunday School.&nbsp; She was a 4-H Leader when her children were young.&nbsp; She enjoyed quilting and puzzles.&nbsp; She enjoyed making Norwegian specialties, lefse and lutefisk, for family and friends.</span></span></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">Janice Marguriete Hanson was born on Tuesday, June 15, 1937 to John and Marjorie (Thone) Hanson at Peabody Hospital in Webster, South Dakota.&nbsp; She was baptized and confirmed at Roslyn Lutheran Church.&nbsp; She grew up in Roslyn and graduated from Roslyn High School in 1955.&nbsp; She then attended business school in Watertown and worked at a law firm there.</span></span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">On December 14, 1956 she was united in marriage to Orlin Aadland at Roslyn.&nbsp; After their marriage the couple farmed near Pierpont.&nbsp; In 1969 they moved to Lander, Wyoming where she worked in medical records and was office manager for an optometrist.&nbsp; They returned to the farm near Pierpont in 1975 and worked for Security Bank in Roslyn, managed the Blue Denim in Eden and worked for Dakotah, Inc. in Veblen until her retirement in 1994.&nbsp; Orlin passed away April 1990 and after his death moved to Roslyn.&nbsp; In September 2002 she entered Sun Dial Manor in Bristol for a short time and then moved to Strand-Kjorsvig Rest Home in Roslyn where she has resided since.</span></span></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">She was a member of Skudesnes Lutheran Church near Pierpont.&nbsp; She loved gardening, sewing, canning, especially hot green beans, crocheting, knitting and collecting swans. In her younger years she made cakes for many special occasions and weddings.</span></span></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">His funeral will be a 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Our Savior&rsquo;s Lutheran Church in Waubay, Rev. Daniel Ostercamp will officiate.&nbsp; Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Waubay.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">Clarence Elroy Althoff was born on Wednesday, April 24, 1929 to Simon and Ella (Gramberg) Althoff at home in Waubay Township, Day County, South Dakota.&nbsp; He is the third son of six sons and six daughters in the Althoff family. He attended Owens School District 175, graduating from the 8th grade in 1943.&nbsp; The Day County Superintendent informed his teacher that Clarence&rsquo;s scholastic records were the highest of all other 8th grade students graduating that year in Day County.&nbsp; It was his desire to continue on to higher education.&nbsp; Unfortunately he never had the opportunity.&nbsp; His help was needed on the farm.&nbsp; He deserves much credit for it&rsquo;s success.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">Clarence was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.&nbsp; His entire life was one of sacrifice and full devotion to serve his Lord and Savior who he professed to be the Greatest Teacher this world has ever known.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">Clarence passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Canistota, South Dakota at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 18 days.</p>

<p><b><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman','serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">She met Darrell Page while he was serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in England.&nbsp; They were united in marriage on August 16, 1952 in Cheltenham.&nbsp; The couple made their home in the various places he was stationed during his military career, including England, Germany, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.&nbsp; After he was discharged they lived at Anoka, Minnesota.&nbsp; In 1974 they moved to Webster where Cathy worked for the Webster Public School System in their food service.&nbsp; Darrell passed away in April 2002.&nbsp; After his death she continued to live in Webster and was working part-time for Webster Schools at the time of her death.<br />&nbsp;<br />She was a member of St. John&rsquo;s Lutheran Church of Webster and the American Legion Auxiliary.&nbsp;&nbsp; Cathy had a passion for knitting, traveling and visiting family and friends. One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow, who knew her as "Grandma Sunshine". She always enjoyed the kids at the school and loved sharing stories and speaking to them about her life growing up during World War II.&nbsp; </span></b></p>

She attended elementary school in Doran, MN.,&nbsp; and then high school in Breckenridge, MN.&nbsp; After her high school graduation in 1955, Velma moved to Minneapolis, MN where she took at job with Union Pacific Railroad.&nbsp; The job then transferred her to the Chicago area, where she settled.&nbsp; She then took a job with Merrill Lynch and eventually met and married Jerry Vlastnik, Jr. on November 10, 1963 in Brookfield, IL.&nbsp; The couple made their home in Berwyn, IL and to this union one children was born, Vikki.&nbsp; Velma worked for Merrill Lynch on the Chicago Board of Trade for many years, and was one of the first women to hold a membership on the Board, and also worked for two other brokerage firms. Her husband, Jerry Vlastnik predeceased her in 1992 after 28 years of marriage. In 2003, Velma retired and moved to Grenville, South Dakota to care for her mother, Edith (Medenwaldt) Unise. Velma enjoyed cooking, entertaining, playing bingo and cards. </span></b></p>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://fiksdalfuneral.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/130_111373.jpg" alt="Deloris Corbin" /><p>RAPID CITY- Deloris Corbin, 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Hospice House of the Black Hills, Rapid City with family at her side.&nbsp; She died of complications from pulmonary fibrosis.</p><p>A celebration of Dee&rsquo;s life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, at Atonement Lutheran Church in Rapid City with visitation one hour prior to the service.</p><p>Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, at Webster Cemetery, in Webster, South Dakota.</p><p>Deloris (Dee) Corbin was born on July 23, 1932 in Webster, S.D. to Joseph and Hulda Storly.&nbsp; In high school Deloris worked at the Webster movie theater as a popcorn girl, usher, and cashier.&nbsp; Because she loved to laugh, Deloris, in her teenage years, was given the nickname &ldquo;giggles&rdquo;.&nbsp; She graduated from Webster High School in 1950.&nbsp; Deloris married Myron Corbin on February 10, 1951 in Colorado Springs, CO while Myron was serving on active duty with the National Guard.&nbsp; After Myron&rsquo;s service in Alaska during the Korean conflict, Myron and Deloris moved to Lily, S.D. where they farmed for a number of years.&nbsp; In 1959 they moved to Webster, S.D. where Deloris was a busy homemaker as she actively supported their four children with their many school and church activities.&nbsp; She also worked part-time as a grocery checker. Her husband, Myron, passed away on June 9, 1972 in the Rapid City flood while he was serving on active duty with the South Dakota National Guard.&nbsp; Deloris moved to Spearfish S.D in 1977 where she owned and operated two motels for 15 years, the Siesta and Kozy, respectively.&nbsp; For several years, after retiring from the motel business, she was an Avon representative.&nbsp; Deloris moved to Rapid City in 2001 where she enjoyed having more time to visit with friends and neighbors.&nbsp; Her hobbies included bowling, jumble puzzles, and crocheting.&nbsp; She also loved gardening both vegetables and flowers.&nbsp; Deloris was a true Norwegian who enjoyed making lefse.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Deloris is survived by her four children Vicki Visser, Sandpoint, Idaho; Craig (Kim) Corbin, Grantsburg, Wisconsin; Rhonda (Don) Tuttle, Winner; and Cindy Delahoyde, Spearfish; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.</p><p>For the last twenty+ years, Richard Overweg, a very special friend, was by Deloris&rsquo; side.&nbsp; Richard&rsquo;s family including his mother, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were like family to Deloris, too.&nbsp;</p><p>Deloris is preceded in death by her husband, sister, and two brothers.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>[<a href="http://fiksdalfuneral.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=130&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=3&obituaryid=111373">Sign Guestbook</a>]  [<a href="http://fiksdalfuneral.com/pages/show_content.php?siteid=130&action=1&value=12&obituaries_action=5&obituaryid=111373">View Guestbook</a>]</p>]]></description>
