Cecilia BuehlerCecilia Buehler, 109 of Webster died on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Bethesda Home in Webster. Her funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bristol, Rev. Janet Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Bristol Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Family prefers memorials be directed to Bethesda Lutheran Church or Lutherans Outdoors. Cecilia Soland was born on March 13, 1902 to John and Anna (Rolfson) Soland at Bristol, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bristol. She attended school in Bristol and graduated from Bristol High School, then, she attended business school in Aberdeen. She returned to Bristol and worked for Dr. Adams. She was united in marriage to Dr. Harvey Buehler. The couple made their home in Bristol and they had four children, Robert, Clarice, Betty and Janice. She worked for Hansmeier and Son for a time. Harvey passed away in 1972. She remained in her home until 1990 when she moved to Webster to live at Heritage Village. In February 2002, a month before her 100th birthday she broke her hip and she entered Bethesda Home. Up until that time, she was the Aberdeen newspaper delivery girl at Heritage Village where she picked up the papers every morning and delivered them to the residents doors. She also made daily trips over to Bethesda Home where she helped push residents in wheelchairs to the dining room. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church where she was active in Ladies Aide and Circle. She also enjoyed many years at her Enemy Swim Lake home which she shared generously with family, relatives and friends. Cecilia passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Webster, South Dakota at the age of 109 years, 6 months and 9 days. Survivors include one son, Robert Buehler of San Diego, CA; three daughters, Clarice Schoonover of New Brighten, MN, Janice (Toby) Dutton of Minneapolis, MN Betty Angerhofer of Edina, MN; grandchildren, Joan Steve Angerhofer, Gary Larry Schoonover Laurie Dutton; great grandchildren, Kurt Schoonover, Amber Rocky Schoonover, Ashley Angerhofer Natalie Grace Hedger; two special friends, Frank McHugh Pat ORourke. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Inga Hanson, a brother, George Soland, two half-brothers, Helge Lars Sand, two sons-in-law, Julius Angerhofer Arlo Schoonover a great grandson, Brian Schoonover.
