I have many fond memories of uncle Ivan both as a child and as an adult. I remember spending the summer on the farm as a boy. Riding on the tractor with uncle Ivan as he made a haystack or doing chores. Ivan let me mow the lawn with the riding lawn mower. Ivan and Lenore were so nice to my family when we came to visit. Ivan took Joe and I fishing on the farm which Joe loved. Carrie and Ivan came to visit when Donna Lou passed and we took them to Diane’s sister’s farm in Hood River. We enjoyed and appreciated that visit. I enjoyed calling Ivan and just talking on the phone. He always asked about my kids and how they were doing. Talking to uncle Ivan often times brought memories of my dad as many of their mannerisms were similar. I am so grateful that my children twice got to experience the kindness of Uncle Ivan and Aunt Lenore when we came to visit for a family vacation and to see the farm where their grandpa grew up. I will miss him. Robert Zochert

Dear Zochert Families, We were saddened to hear of Ivan’s passing. He and David always had good visits and he never failed to stop me and ask me about David whenever I saw him! We often saw him at the Wheel Inn or clinic, unfortunately we lose track of people so was not aware he was at Sun Dial. We would have visited him had we been able to because David’s brother Ed resides there also! You have our deepest sympathy! Blessings to all! David & Deb Kuecker
