Janice Schmidt

WEBSTER- Janice Schmidt, 63 of Webster died on Friday, December 30, 2005 at Lake Area Hospital in Webster. Her funeral will be at 1:00 P.M.Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at American Lutheran Church, Webster, Rev. Jan Fitzgibbon officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Visitation will be Tuesday, 4-8 P.M. at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster and prior to services at the church. Janice Mae Schmidt was born on Friday, March 27, 1942 to Kurt and Viola (Hoy) Schmidt at Watertown, South Dakota. She attended Grant Elementary School and graduated from Watertown High School in 1960. Following high school she graduated from Minneapolis General Hospital the X-ray Training Program, graduating in 1964. She worked the local hospital in Menomonie, Wisconsin as head X-ray Technician until 1975. In September 1975 she moved to Webster where she worked at Lake Area Hospital as head X-ray Technician until her death. She enjoyed her cats, reading, flowers, watching Nascar racing, the Chicago Bears and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include one son, Stuart Schmidt of Webster, SD; and one brother, Dennis Schmidt of Eau Claire, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Duane Schmidt.
