Kennedy Gregerson, 92 of Webster died on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Bethesda Home in Webster. His funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Webster, Pastors Eugene and Marilyn Moeller officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be at Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday 5-7 P.M. and prior to services at the church. Kennedy Scott Gregerson was born on Friday, May 28, 1920 to Gustave and Gunhild (Larson) Gregerson at Peabody Hospital in Webster, South Dakota. The family made their home on a farm in Morton Township, Day County. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Webster. He attended country school near his home and he also attended Waubay High School. After he received his education he returned to the farm where he farmed with his parents. He entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II. After his honorable discharge he returned to the family farm and farmed with his father and brother, Lester. On July 19, 1958 he was united in marriage to Olga Nelson in Aberdeen, South Dakota. After their marriage the couple made their home and farmed in Morton Township. In 1984 the couple moved to Webster. Olga passed away in June 1995. After her death he continued to live in Webster and entered Bethesda Home in the fall of 2008. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Webster. Kennedy was also a member of the Herbert McKennett Post 40 American Legion. He enjoyed bee keeping, walking, collecting, his pets and reading. Kennedy passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Webster, South Dakota at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 7 days. Survivors include a son, Zane (Deborah) Gregerson of Webster; seven grandchildren, Angel Gebur of Webster, SD Clint Gregerson of Tea, SD, Andrea Stiegelmeier of Watertown, SD, Anthony Gregerson of Watertown, SD, Breanna, Diedra and Bethany Gregerson of Webster, SD; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Zona, one brother and two sisters.
