Family of Lauretta, I recently learned of the passing of your mother. I express my sympathies in your loss. I knew Lauretta because in my career with the National Guard I called on her numerous times for uniform(and other) alterations. She was very good at making us look our best. Never did I stop to deliver clothing to her that I did not get a smile and warm conversation. She enjoyed her work and talking with people. I knew all of the sons(Lee,Larry and Loren) and knew that Lauretta's teachings had rubbed off on them as they were all friendly and caring.(sometimes even Lee!!!!). Sorry, I could not help it,Lee. I have not seen Lauretta for many years but I know I am a better person for having known her. In my thoughts, Don Miller Aberdeen, South Dakota

My Sympathy to Lauretta's Family. I am sad to read of this Special lady's passing. She was a part of my life when I was a little girl in Lily. She would help Mommy (Clara Neal) when my folks had the grocery/cafe (1946). She remained a Big part of Mommy's life -- doing alterations, etc. God's Blessings!

So sorry to hear about your mother. She was a very special lady. I have so many good memories at the Schmidt farm especially when you kids where there. Lois we met several times on that road between farms. Also all the times together when our parents lived in Webster. Treasure all those memories. It is comforting to know she is now with all her friends and family. I am praying God will comfort you during this difficult time.Louise
