Marie Stark

WEBSTER- Marie Stark, 83 of Webster died Tuesday February 19, 2008 at Webster. Services will be 10:30A.M. Friday February 22, 2008 at American Lutheran Church in Webster, Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Thursday 4-7 and one hour prior to services on Friday. Marie Anna Majeske was born January 10, 1925 to William and Erna (Schutte) at Winthrop, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. The family moved to Webster, South Dakota, where she attended school and graduated from Webster High School. On July 5, 1944, she married Earl Stark in Webster. The couple made their home and farmed near Gibbon, Minnesota. In 1952 the couple moved to Webster. Marie worked at Wist Produce, Myrtle’s Café, Carlson’s Red Owl, and Mikes Jack and Jill. Mr. Stark passed away November 6, 2001. There were many things that brought great joy to Marie’s life, they include, coffee at Pereboom’s Café, attending various sporting events, spending time at her cabin on Blue Dog Lake, bowling, golfing, and dancing. She had a great love for small animals. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie passed away Tuesday February 19, 2008 at Webster at the age of 83 years, one month, and nine days. Survivors include: two sons; Eldon (Carol) Stark of Faulkton, SD and Leon Stark of Webster, SD, two brothers; Ed (Donna) Majeske of Webster, SD and Sheldon (Sharon) Majeske of Webster, SD, one sister; Caroline (Vernon) Hanson of Webster, SD, three grandchildren; Todd (Michelle) Stark of Watertown, SD, Jodi (Jon) Ekern of Toronto, SD, and Kevin (Erin) Stark of Faulkton, SD, four great-grandchildren; Carter and Taylor Ekern of Toronto, SD and Reese and Ellery Stark of Watertown, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Ervin and infant twin brothers.
