It was my pleasure to be a friend,of this fine man. I sat around that table enjoying coffee and solving world problems. Such knowledge on so many subjects. The last time I saw Robert,at Prairie Village days,he was driving his Melroe Loader. He stopped by the tent to visit a while. Truly a great gentleman, who will be missed!

Years ago, Robert fixed my John Deere Snowblower in the cold of winter in an unheated shed, it still runs well today. Every time I use it, I am grateful for his mechanical aptitude. He was my Uncle but also a great friend. He was a genuine human being. He always had sage advice for others. He was an advocate and support throughout my life, and I will miss him greatly. His fellow farmers were his best companions.

Good bye, Uncle Bobby. I'm not sure if anyone else ever got away with calling you "Bobby" but with your boyish charm and the pranks you played you seemed more like a "Bobby" than a "Robert" to me. When I think of you, you are standing next to your bus after school talking to the other drivers, I sneak up behind you, snap your suspenders, and say "Hi, Uncle Bobby!" while quickly moving out of your reach. The other drivers would chuckle and you would pretend to be mad at me by shaking your fist in the air. I will always love and miss my "Uncle Bobby", more than words can say, but I know I will once again get to snap his suspenders and call him "Uncle Bobby" in Heaven someday... https://www.facebook.com/SandraPitzlSullivan/videos/10211293608970103/

Many great memories of playing with the Pierce kids on their farm when we were growing up. Our families spent many Sundays together just having fun.
