Adeline Goward, 67 of Webster died on Sunday, April 01, 2012 at Bethesda Home in Webster. Private family services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Adeline Magdelan Block was born on June 21, 1944 to Joe B. and Valeria (Wirkus) Block at Grenville, South Dakota. She attended school in Webster. After she received her education she worked as a waitress in a restaurant before moving to Minnesota in 1969. Then, in 1970, she moved to Mount Morris, Michigan. While in Michigan she met and married Mike Goward on October 17, 1971. In 1978 the couple moved to Fairbanks, Alaska. They divorced in 1979. While living in Alaska she was a daycare provider in her home. In 1999 she moved to Webster to provide care for mother who was in poor health. She also worked at Mike’s Jack Jill and did daycare as well. She entered Bethesda Home in Webster in January 2012. Adeline enjoyed friends and family as well as the outdoors, playing cards and reading. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly (Mike) Lamb of Wasilla, AK; two sisters, Marlys (Bill) Joyce of Corona, CA and Doris (Larry Landsberg) Forrest of Minneapolis, MN; six brothers, LaVerne Block of Webster, SD, David (Mary Ann) Block of Paoli, IN, Eugene (Linda) Block of Mount Morris, MI, Harry (LaDonna) Block of Flint, MI, Ray (Willa) Block of Rapid City, SD and Dennis (Marsha) Block of Sioux Falls, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Virginia and two brothers, Richard and Martin.
