WEBSTER – Augusta Olson, 89 of Bristol and formerly of Webster died on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol Her funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Webster, Rev. John Hisel will officiate. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service (fiksdalfuneral.com) in Webster on Wednesday 5-7 P.M. and prior to services on Thursday. Augusta Martha Millim was born on Thursday, Dec. 8, 1919 at Andover, South Dakota to John & Anna (Sauer) Millim. She grew up on a farm west of Webster and went to country school. On August 20, 1940 she married Thomas E. Olson at Webster, South Dakota. To this union four sons were born, Thomas E. Olson Jr., Gary M. Olson, Dwight R. Olson and Michael R. Olson. The couple lived near Webster. She began working at, what was originally called Evans Café and later became Perebooms Café where she worked until retirement. She, along with her husband, entered Sun Dial Manor in 1999. Mr. Olson passed away in 2002. She was a wonderful cook, housewife and mother and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and friends. She was a cook for the Methodist Church Circle and cooked for various functions. She loved being around family and friends. She loved cats, dogs and kids. She had many family and friends who loved her very much. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Augusta passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Bristol, South Dakota at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 2 days. Survivors include Tom & Vicky Olson of Vacaville, CA, Dwight Olson of Webster, SD and Mike & Kyleen Olson of Sturgis, SD, nieces and nephews who adored her, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, a son, Gary in 2006, all her sisters and two brothers.
