Bonita "Bonnie" Anderson

Bonita "Bonnie" Anderson, 82 of Webster, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her home in Webster.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Fiksdal Funeral Service and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Rev. Mike DaKraai will officiate. Luncheon will follow at Fiksdal's. We will depart from the funeral home at 12:30 for burial at Lakewood Cemetery near Waubay.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Bonita “Bonnie” Marie Ronshaugen was born on July 15, 1939, at Peabody Hospital in Webster, South Dakota to Elmer and Lavina (Metz) Ronshaugen. She was baptized at Fron Lutheran Church and confirmed at Roslyn Lutheran Church. She attended Roslyn school and graduated from Roslyn High School in 1957. After her education she started her 20-year career with Lake Region Electrical Association Inc.

After a chance meeting at the Polka Dot Bar, she was united in marriage to Arnold “Arnie” Anderson on July 15, 1966, at Roslyn Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Waubay, South Dakota where they lived for 13 years before moving to Estelline for a short time. The couple moved to Webster in 1978 and have resided there ever since. Bonnie substitute taught when needed and loved selling tickets for the Webster Area Bearcat’s sporting events. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was a part of Hannah Circle and WELCA. Bonnie enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, collecting angels, and loved to have and attend rummage sales. She loved to celebrate Christmas and visiting with her friends and family. 

Bonnie passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at her home in Webster at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 28 days.

She will be forever loved and missed by her husband, Arnold “Arnie” Anderson of Webster, SD; two sisters, Betty Stavig of Webster, SD, and Martha (Gene) Livingston of Salem, SD. Bonnie and Arnie had no children of their own but were blessed with many nieces and nephews who are left to treasure their memories with her. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Barbara Hagen.
