Bonnie Tayler, 70, of Bristol, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol.
Memorial services will be 2:30 P.M. Monday, March 21, 2022 at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Inurnment will be at Bristol Cemetery at a later date.
Bonnie Jean Horter was born on September 22, 1951, at Webster, South Dakota to Willie and Betty (Isburg) Horter. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She grew up on a farm north of Bristol, South Dakota. Bonnie attended school in Bristol. After high school graduation, she worked under a beautician in Webster and eventually obtained her beautician certification.
On December 22, 1986, she married Ralph Taylor. The couple made their home in Bristol. Bonnie owned and operated “The Beauty Box” out of their home. She continued to work until just recently due to failing health.
Bonnie was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Bethesda Lutheran Church, where she was active in WELCA. She enjoyed cooking, yard work, flower and vegetable gardening, and her kitty companions. She also was known for delivering her garden goodies to friends and neighbors.
Bonnie passed away after a short illness, Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Bristol, South Dakota at the age of 70 years, 5 months, and 20 days.
She will be forever loved and greatly missed by her husband Ralph of Bristol, brother Willard Horter of Bristol, sisters-in-law: Sharon (Gregory) Kneeskern of Carpenter, MN, Leeann Geurts of Brooklyn Park, MN, Dawn (Cliff Hartman) of Bradley, SD, and Bonnie Taylor of Sioux Falls, SD, brother-in-law Delbert (Jan) Taylor of Guy, TX, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, great nephew Baby Alex, brother-in-law Wayne Taylor and sister-in-law Charlene (Junior) Dunlavy.
