After graduation she attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen, South Dakota where she obtained her teaching certificate and taught at country schools in the Day County area. She was united in marriage to Earl Davidson on December 28, 1947 at Tabor Lutheran Church. The couple made their home on a farm southeast of Tabor. Carola remained on the farm until 1999 when she moved into Webster. In 2017 she moved to Strand Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn. Carola was a lifelong member of Tabor Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir, taught Sunday school and was a part of the WMF (Women's Missionary Federation). Carola was a classy lady who enjoyed music, painting, quilting, sewing, and enjoyed making klub even if she couldn’t take a compliment on it!
