Chad Rumpca, 55, of Grenville, passed away Saturday August 13, 2022.
Memorial Service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grenville, SD. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Luncheon will take place after burial.
Chad Brian Rumpca was born on April 18, 1967, to Tom and Rita (Dargatz) Rumpca at Webster, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grenville, South Dakota. He attended Roslyn School. After his education he worked on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Cathy on April 21, 1990, at Grenville. To this union two children were born: Collin and Connor. He was later united in marriage to Nicole Rumpza on July 3, 2009, in Montana. To this union three children were born: Hailey, Bryce, and Ashley. The family made their home at Grenville, and he continued farming until the present. Chad loved hunting, fishing, horse riding, snowmobiles, and last but not least, playing pool. He especially loved spending time with his children.
Chad passed away on Saturday August 13, 2022, in Webster at the age of 55 years, 3 months, and 26 days.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole of Webster, SD; his children, Connor (Liz) of Onalaska, WI, Collin (Skylar) Rumpca of Madison, SD, Hailey Rumpca, Bryce Rumpca, and Ashley Rumpca all of Webster, SD; his parents, Tom and Rita of Grenville, SD; two brothers, Kevin (Sheila) Rumpca of Hastings, MN and Todd Rumpca of Watertown, SD; one sister Donna (Dave) Schempp of Shawnee, KS.
He is preceded in death by one brother Mark Rumpca; sister-in-law Machell Rumpca; paternal grandparents John and Helen Rumpca; step-grandma Stella Rumpca; and maternal grandparents Joe and Regina Dargatz.
