WEBSTER- Daniel “Pete” Sattler 54 of Webster died on Monday, August 25, 2008 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. Memorial services will be 2 PM Saturday August 30, 2008 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster with Janet Johnson S.A.M. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. fiksdalfuneral.com Daniel “Pete” Allen Sattler was born on Friday June 4, 1954 to John and Iva (Burns) Sattler on the family farm northeast of Roslyn, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eden, South Dakota. He attended country school near the family farm. After his education, Pete worked for various farmers in the Day County area until 1981 when he moved to Republic, Washington. On May 10, 1981 he married Christie Olson in Republic. The couple continued to make their home there until moving to Webster, South Dakota in 1982. Pete then went back to work for local farmers. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, visiting with family and friends and listening to old country music. Pete passed away on Monday August 25, 2008 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 54 years, 2 months, and 21 days. He is survived by his wife Christie of Webster, SD, three sons, Eric (Leslie) Olson of Roslyn, SD, Kyle Sattler of Webster, SD, and Marty Sattler or Webster, SD; one daughter Rebecca (Lyle) Jones of St. Louis, MO; six brothers, Marlo (Wilma) Sattler of Webster, SD, Vernie Sattler of Watertown, SD, Donnie (Sharon) Sattler of Watertown, SD, David(Dortha) Sattler of Republic, WA, Chuck (Tamie) Sattler of Roslyn, SD, and Lyle (Margo) Sattler of Republic, WA; one sister Barbara Sattler of Webster, SD; seven grandchildren, Magen, Levi, Shane, Elizabeth, Shelby, Jacob, and Ethan. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Charlotte, Josie, and Kathy, and three brothers, Leon, Darrell, and Terry.
