WEBSTER- Darold Huwe, 50 of Webster died on Friday, August 11, 2006 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. His funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bristol with Rev. Dan Overbo officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Butler. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Tuesday 4-8 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 P.M. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday before the service. Darold James Huwe was born on May 25, 1956 at Webster Memorial Hospital to Burnell and Shirley (Olson) Huwe. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethesda Lutheran Church. Darold graduated from Bristol High School in 1974. After graduation he attended Vocational School at Springfield,SD. He had a kidney transplant in 1977 in Minnesota, where he then resided for awhile. Darold moved back to the Bristol area where he enjoyed working for various farmers. Darold was managing the Day County Landfill and Dependable Sanitation Inc. He held this position for nearly 25 years. Darold married Cindy (McElmury) Huwe on July 18, 1998 at Bethesda Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Webster. Darold adopted Keshia and Serena Huwe in 1999. Darold was an avid reader and had finished several novels. He enjoyed gardening and canning and was famous for his pickled beans. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and relaxing at the lake. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed the companionship of his dogs. Darold passed away Friday August 11, 2006 at Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 50 years, 2 months, and 17 days. He will be forever loved and sadly missed by all the lives he touched. Blessed by sharing his life are: his wife, Cindy of Webster, two daughters: Keshia and Serena of Bowman, ND, his parents of Bristol, four sisters: Teresa ( Greg) Schock of Rapid City, Elaine Huwe (Jeff Monson) of Goodlettsville, TN, Virginia Huwe (Steve Rohde) of Rapid City, and Mavis (James R.) McKane III of Andover, two brothers: Duane (Kimberly) Huwe of Butler and Dennis (Gail) Huwe of Bristol, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
