Anita, thank you for sharing those wonderful memories of Dad! Also with Dad and my Mom. It brings comfort remembering Dad when he was so happy and healthy. And although that and more was sadly left out of his obituary, so many still know and remember Dad playing his guitar and singing at the barn dances, in the church choir, and I will never forget him singing to us at night before bed. He never lost his determination, or stopped working hard for his family and dreams and I am so proud of him and to be able to call him my Dad. He will be missed everyday.

Ardis, you brought back memories of deer hunting with my dad, lol, and some of the best days of my life. Thank you for sharing.

With our surnames both beginning with "B", I sat behind Dave most of my school years. I played piano when he sang his solo in high school. He was my friend. I recall, too, riding horseback with him and so many others in a parade down the main street of Florence. He was so proud of his wife at his side and his handsome horse, too. Lots more memories, so many of them sweet, young, and determined. Walk where the wind blows, my friend!

I will always think of Dave in his cowboy hat driving his big ol' pickup. I gave him a hard time about that truck. Condolences to the entire family.
