James "Jim" Ackerman

James "Jim" Ackerman, 51, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Webster, SD, passed away April 16, 2020 at his home after a battle with cancer. At Jim’s request he wanted things as simple as possible which means there will be no service. He simply wanted cremation and burial by his mom at a later date. Even this write-up was to be short and to the point. He leaves behind his wife, Sandra (Kurkowski) Ackerman of 25 years, his dad, Harold Ackerman, sister, Amber Schimmel, nieces, Briana (Bacon) Simpkins, Karyssa Bacon, Cassidi Schimmel and nephew, Blaize Schimmel. Jim was preceded in death by his mom, Marilyn ‘Kay’ Ackerman in 2001. Condolences may be sent to his wife, Sandra Ackerman, 1829 5th ST NE, Watertown, SD 57201.
