WAUBAY – Jane Kriech 62 of Waubay passed away Friday March 8, 2019 at Sanford Hospital Webster. A private family service will be held. Condolences may be sent to Robert Kriech 44213 143rd St Waubay, SD 57273 Fiksdal Funeral Service of Webster is in charge of the arrangements. Jane Susan Gaikowski was born on November 18, 1956 to Roman and Rosemary (Breske) Gaikowski in Webster, SD. She was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Waubay, South Dakota. She attended country school at Alto Township Country School in Roberts County through seventh grade and graduated from Waubay High School in 1975. After high school, she moved to Watertown, South Dakota and worked for Midcom. On September 24, 1983 she married Robert Kriech at Waubay. The couple made their home on a farm Southwest of Waubay where they owned and an operated a dairy farm operation and raised their four children. Jane had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed raising baby calves, finding good deals while out shopping, reading, taking photos, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids. Jane will be forever loved and greatly missed by her husband, Robert of Waubay, SD; two sons, Doug Kriech of Volga, SD and Tyler (special friend, Kaylee) Kriech of Waubay, SD; two daughters, Bobbi (David) Kanengieter of Sheldon, IA and Kelli (Scott) Henricks of Watertown, SD; her mother, Rosemary Gaikowski of Webster, SD ; two brothers, Duane (Carol) Gaikowski and Dean (special friend, Lori) Gaikowski both of Waubay, SD; three sisters, Mona (Gary) Youell of Webster, SD, Donna (Pete) Okroi of Grenville, SD, and Janet (Wayne) Bartelt of Waubay, SD. She will be tremendously missed by her grandchildren, Wesley, Addelynne, Alice, Evan, and Baby Henricks on the way! She was preceded in death by her father, Roman; two brothers, Douglas Gaikowski and Alan Gaikowski; and one sister, Lora Gaikowski.
