Janet Schlotte, 80, of Webster passed away Tuesday December 15, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Webster. A private funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday December 19, 2020 and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Public walk through visitation will be Friday 5-7 P.M. at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Janet Elaine Buckholtz was born on March 26, 1940 to William and Esther (Kilpatrick) Buckholtz at Clear Lake, South Dakota. She attended school in Clear Lake and graduated in 1958. On July 25, 1959 she was united in marriage to Myron Schlotte. The couple made their home near Webster and farmed until their retirement in 1996. Janet then worked as a certified nurses assistant at Bethesda Home in Webster until 2006. Janet was a member of American Lutheran Church in Webster where she served as chairperson of many circle groups over the years. She also taught Sunday school and bible school. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, completing word puzzles, playing cards, watching television and above all else, she cherished time spent with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She will be forever loved and greatly missed by her husband of 61 years Myron Schlotte of Webster, SD, two sons: Dari (Jodi) Schlotte of Webster, SD and Lonnie (Lisa) Schlotte of Watertown, SD, five grandchildren: Lacey (Jared) Moser, Carrie (Ross) Kwasniewski, Corey, Caitlyn, and Jared Schlotte, and three great-grandchildren: Reagan Kwasniewski, Jaxon, and Ryan Moser. She is also survived by her sister Beverly (Merlyn) Strom, three brothers: Harley Buckholtz, Dale (Jean) Buckholtz, and Wayne (Diane) Buckholtz, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one son & daughter-in-law Marty and Beth Schlotte and two sisters: Shirley Koutz and Lorraine Behlings-Allstot.
