Jason Tunheim

Jason Tunheim, 53, of Roslyn and formerly of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday November 29, 2023 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Private services will be held.

Jason Alan Tunheim was born on December 21, 1970, to Eldon and Virginia (Likness) Tunheim at Britton, South Dakota. The family made their home on a farm near Pierpont.  Jason attended Webster School and graduated in 1989. After his education, he moved to Aspire in Aberdeen. He worked various jobs in the hub city area. In 2000, he and his girlfriend, Rhonda moved in together for the next eight years. Jason recently moved into Strand Kjorsvig Living Center to be near his dad.

Jason was an avid watch collector. As a child, he loved riding his Mo-ped all over the farm.

Jason passed away at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 53 years 11 months, and 8 days.

Jason is survived by his father Eldon of Roslyn, SD, brothers, David (Gail) Tunheim of Watertown, SD, Dennis Tunheim of Dolton, SD, and Curtis Tunheim of Windom, MN, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virgina.
