LaDonna Bailey

SELBY – LaDonna Bailey 73 of Selby and formerly of Webster and Aberdeen died Friday June 19, 2015 at Mobridge Regional Hospital. Her funeral will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday June 23, 2015 at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery near Lily, SD. LaDonna was born on April 12, 1942, to Emil and Myrtle Aadson in Webster, SD. She attended school in Webster and graduated from Webster High School in 1960. She married Harry (Butch) Bailey in 1960 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster. She worked as a cosmetologist until the Navy took them to California. They returned to Webster in 1962. It was a few years later when they started their family. Her joy from then on was being a Mom and a homemaker. In 1972 they moved to Selby, SD, and there they raised their children. In 1989 they moved to Aberdeen. Her days were filled with watching her Chicago Cubs and devoting most of her time and love to her grandchildren. They will always cherish the memories of time and love she gave them. She was an avid decorator and absolutely loved cleaning, anything! Heaven will be a much cleaner and tidier place with her there! The battle with diabetes and Alzheimer's took her from us too soon. We will miss you Mom and Grandma. Smile down on us when you can. LaDonna leaves her three children, Crystal Bailey of Aberdeen; Shawna (Jim) Garvin of Prior Lake, MN; Jeff Bailey of Groton, SD; Four grandchildren, Brittani, Tanner, and Tyler Moncur, and Makenzie Garvin. She was preceded in death by her husband, "Butch", her Father and Mother, her brother, and two infant sisters.
