Lauren attended elementary, middle school and through her sophmore year at Langford Public School. Lauren then graduated from high school in Minnetonka, Minnesota in 2005. After graduation she attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, Northern State University in Aberdeen and The Art Institute in Minneapolis. Lauren will be deeply missed by her family and friends but never forgotten. In her short time on this earth, Lauren touched our hearts in countless ways. Her uncanny sense of humor and dry wit were always uplifting. An optimist by nature, her smile and laugh were infectious. She was strong willed and openly expressive. Imaginative and creative by nature, Lauren loved photography, art, fashion and design. She was very knowlegable about all aspects of food and cooking. She was very well versed in books, movies and interior design. Making collages was a hobby of hers. It was Lauren’s incredibly soft heart that provided her deep compassion for animals, having been known to take in and care for wounded wild life. It was that same heart which held Lauren’s immense love for her family, friends and particularly her nieces and nephews. Lauren is survived by her parents Danny her sister Monica Dahl & husband Mike of Minnetonka, MN & brother Justin Falon & wife Shannon of Sioux Falls, SD; her paternal grandmother Donna Smeins of Webster, SD; nephews & nieces, Jacob and Mackenzie Dahl; Libby, Darian, Kendall, & Hunter Falon in addition to numerous aunts, uncles & cousins; a loving boyfriend Tristan Johnson of Plymouth; and her dog, Edison. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Lawrence Smeins, Victor, Ruth and Helen Hirsch.
We were so fortunate to have Lauren as part of our family and our lives. Lauren will truly be missed by everyone that knew her. She was always smiling and happy even when she was hurting inside. We will remember her for her kindness, her wit, her bubbly personality, her smile, and her love of life that was cut too short. Lauren was truly a free spirit with no holds on life. She was always wanting to experience new things and challenges. She was a special part of our lives and we loved her so much. She will always be in our hearts and our thoughts. Love Always Aunt, Uncle,& Cousin Lee, Jeff, & Matthew

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I was very saddened by the news. Lauren was such a fun, cute, adorable girl and I always enjoyed babysitting her when she was young. I still remember her climbing on top of the fridge and unhinging the fridge door by trying to climb down it - luckily Rachel was able to fix it! Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time.

Susan and family, Although we never had the privilege of meeting Lauren, I am fortunate to have met you, Susan, at the bridal shower for Kathryn LaVenture, our son's new wife. After having read the many beautiful memories of Lauren, it is obvious Lauren was a truly remarkable young lady. She was blessed with a wealth of talents, a charming personality and a loving family. Even though her time on earth was far too short, she clearly touched many people's lives, and she was a blessing to many with whom she came in contact. Don and I send our most heartfelt sympathies and hope you will feel God's loving embrace as you mourn the loss of your beloved daughter and celebrate her life. Peace be with you, Krista Nelson
