Leonard Murschel

April 18, 1960 — August 25, 2022

Leonard Murschel, 62, of Roslyn and formerly of Webster, passed away Thursday,

Inurnment will be 11:00am Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Andover Cemetery.

Leonard E. Murschel was born April 18, 1960 to Earl (Butch) and Edna Murschel in Webster. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Webster where he attended Sunday School. Leonard attended Webster Public School where he played football and was a kicker. Leonard was employed as a concrete laborer for local contractors, Ron Kuecker and Buster Sichmeller, among others. He also was employed cleaning the Webster American Legion and mowing lawns and shoveling snow for many people and businesses around Webster. Leonard enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, playing American Legion Teeners baseball for Coach Mike Grosek and helping people with different projects.

 

 In 2017, after a turning point, finally getting clean and sober, he was blessed with happiness. He lived in Downtown Manor apartments, Webster, a place he truly enjoyed. Leonard enjoyed visiting with friends in the apartment building and attending special dinners at the local Senior Center. Following health issues, Leonard became a resident of Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center.

 

 Leonard is survived by two sisters, Shirley and Jim Aldentaler and Sharlene and Mike; nephews, Michael, Douglas and Tasha; niece, Michelle; great nieces and great nephews, Brady, Colin, Maylee, Tavia, Teagan, Taryn, Tessa, and Tori; cousins, Jan Marx, Rich and Marcia Solberg, Randy Hjermstad and Russell and Emily Hjermstad, other relatives and close friends.

 

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Edna Murschel; grandparents, John and Gertrude Murschel; Gust and Emma Nelson and Edward Arnold Nelson; and uncles and aunts, LeRoy and Vivian Solberg and Orval and Edythe Hjermstad. Blessed be Leonard’s memory.
