Leroy Weber, 86, of Webster, SD, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Avera Mother Joseph's Manor in Aberdeen, SD.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster, SD, and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Burial will follow at the Webster Cemetery. Everyone is welcome back to the Funeral home for a luncheon in the fellowship hall.
Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Fiksdal Funeral Service.
Leroy Charles Weber was born on November 25, 1935, to Charles and Mabel (Walton) Weber at Peabody Memorial Hospital in Webster, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed at the American Lutheran Church in Webster. Leroy attended Webster school and graduated from Webster High School in 1955. After his education he farmed on the family farm north of Webster.
He was united in marriage to Joann Jahde on May 29, 1957, at St. Otto’s Catholic Church in Webster. The couple made their home on the Weber family farm. To this union 4 children were born: Richard, Michael, Cynthia, and Robert. Leroy continued farming and worked for the Webster Creamery which was later changed to Land O’ Lakes. He retired from Land O’ Lakes in the late 80s. He continued farming with his family. Leroy suffered many health issues since 2000 but he always had a great spirit. He will be remembered for his joyous spirit and his continuous jokes. Leroy was a member of the Webster American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, listening to polka music, but above all he loved family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Weber of Webster, SD; his children, daughter-in-law Tina Weber of Brighton, CO, Mike (Darcy) Weber of Sioux Falls, SD, Cindy Wallace of Webster, SD, and Bob (Jennifer) Weber of Aberdeen, SD; 10 grandchildren, Jerrod (Maggie), Josh (Jen), Ryan, Christine, Cody, Jeremiah (Siobhan), Nicholas (Teresa), Ariana, Connor (Amber), and Haley; 3 great-grandchildren, Hallie, Mason, and Grace.
He is preceded by his parents, Charles and Mabel, and one son, Dick.
