Linda Gronke, 70, of Roslyn and formerly of Webster, passed away Wednesday December 8, 2021 at Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn. Viewing for family at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Fiksdal Funeral Service. Graveside Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 13, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Grenville, SD. Linda Gronke was born on July 24, 1951, to Jacob and Leocadia (Dargatz) Gronke in Sisseton, South Dakota. She attended country school through 6th grade, then attended Parochial Catholic School in Grenville, South Dakota until 8th grade before attending and graduating from Roslyn High School in 1969. After her education she worked in Webster for a short time before moving to Waseca, Minnesota in 1976 where she worked at Johnson Factory. Linda moved back to Webster in 1981 where she worked at Dakota Quilting in Webster and where she later retired from. Linda enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, and knitting. Linda moved into Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn in 2019. Linda passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2021, at Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn at the age of 70 years, 4 months, and 15 days. Linda is survived by two brothers, Richard Gronke of Missoula, MT, and Barry (Val) Gronke of Watertown, SD; five sisters, Gladys Brown of Butte, MT, Alice Waligoski of Waseca, MN, Diane Trego of Sheridan, WY, Katie Mack of Watertown, SD, Susie (Doug) Christensen of Ashton, SD; many nieces and nephews; and special friend of 30+ years, Sonny Larson of Roslyn, SD. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ernest, Danny, and Jack; one sister, Laura Olson; four brothers-in-law; three nephews, and one niece.
