Lucille Lesnar, 91 of Roslyn and formerly of Webster died on Wednesday, November 07, 2012 at Strand-Kjorsvig Rest Home in Roslyn. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grenville with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday 2-4 P.M. then continuing at the church with a 7 P.M. Rosary. Lucille Helen Sigaty was born on Sunday, November 28, 1920 to Michael and Mary (Burjan) Sigaty on the family farm near Lake City, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lake City. She attended country school near her home and graduated from Lake City High School in 1938. She worked as a waitress at Bickford Café in Lake City and then moved to Britton where she was a waitress at Bohman Café and as a cashier at Red Owl Grocery Store. She was united in marriage to Frank B. Lesnar on October 21, 1961 at Lake City, South Dakota. After their marriage the couple made their home for the first two years of marriage on the Joe Lesnar farm west of Grenville. In July 1964 they purchased and moved to the Ray Kwasniewski farm southwest of Grenville. Frank passed away in April 2005. After his death she continued to live on the farm until 2006 when she moved to Pleasant View Apartments in Webster. She entered Strand-Kjorsvig Rest Home in Roslyn in April 2012. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grenville where she was active in Altar Society and the Sacred Heart Society. She enjoyed sewing, reading, watching television, baking, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. Lucille passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Roslyn, South Dakota at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 10 days. Survivors include two brothers, Myron (Nan) Sigaty of Rio Verde, AZ and Francis Sigaty of Watertown, SD; two sisters, Leona Crouse of Mound City, MO and Delores (Stanley C.) Lesnar of Grenville, SD; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Edmund, Lambert and Joseph.
