Myron Schlotte

Myron Schlotte, 87, of Webster, SD, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at his home in Webster.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Pastor Mike McCarlson will officiate. Burial will be at Webster Cemetery. 

Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Fiksdal Funeral Service. 

Myron Paul Schlotte was born on February 12, 1935, to Henry and Gladys (Ludtke) Schlotte in Webster, South Dakota. Myron was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong member of American Lutheran Church in Webster. He attended country school in Rusk Township and after school he farmed on the Schlotte family farm with his parents.

Myron was united in marriage to the love of his life Janet Elaine Buckholtz on July 25, 1959. To this union, three sons were born: Marty, Dari, and Lonnie. He was blessed with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who he truly enjoyed spending time with, and he cherished every moment with them. Myron enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards, watching westerns, and square dancing.

He is survived by his two sons, Dari & Jodi (Gronke) Schlotte, Lonnie & Lisa (Hall) Schlotte, grandchildren Jared & Lacey (Schlotte) Moser, Ross & Carrie (Schlotte) Kwasniewski, Corey Schlotte, Caitlyn Schlotte, and Jared Schlotte, and four great-grandchildren Jaxon and Ryan Moser, Reagan and Aspen Kwasniewski. Preceded in death by his wife Janet, parents Henry and Gladys (Ludtke) Schlotte, son Marty and daughter in law Beth (Gollnick) Schlotte, and his brother Virgil Schlotte.
