Myrtis Hanson

Myrtis Hanson, 92, of Bristol, and formerly of Webster, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol.

Funeral services will be 10:30am, Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Webster. Burial will be 1:30pm, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, following a luncheon in the church fellowship room.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Myrtis M. Jensen was born on May 23, 1932, at Andover, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Andover. She attended school in Andover, graduating from AHS in 1950.

On August 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Wallace Hanson at Zion Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in the Bristol-Butler area. The couple farmed dairy cows and grains. Wally passed away in 2018. After his passing, Myrtis moved to Sun Dial Manor in Bristol.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster, where she was active in WELCA. She enjoyed flower gardening and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Myrtis passed away, Monday, April 28, 2025, at the age of 92 years, 11 months, and 5 days.

She will be missed by nephews, Scott Jensen and Todd Jensen, niece, Lori Lyda, and special neighbors, Brian and Sharil Guthmiller and their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wally, and brother Wilmar Jensen.
