I am so sorry to learn of the loss of Bob. I lived next to him for a short time but what I remember the most about him was how he drove my little boys home from Groton every day for a few years. Levi and Lane will never forget him and the patience he had to listen to all of their stories on the way home in the van. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I just wanted to let you know that Bob made a huge difference in my little boys and my life and for that I will be forever gratefull.

I just opened this up and was so happy to see this picture of Bob. We are feeling your loss Bob but like Dave say's (my best friend is at peace and in a better place than the rest of us!) We will miss our monthly phone calls to one another but we are so glad we were home to get your last call when you called to let us know you had bought a cell phone and wanted us to have your new number... Rest in peace dear friend... With love, Kay

My Uncle Robert will be missed by all of us. He was so fun to be around. I will cherish most of all our time spent in South Dakota while visiting Grammie. We all would gather at Robert's house for food, fun and laughs. I love you Uncle Robert.

I will miss my Uncle. God bless the family. My Uncle always liked my joke "ho-de-do-ho-de-do"

To Robert's family, Dave, our children David, Penni, Cliff, John and myself Kay, will miss "Bob" as we called him, very much. He and Dave had known one another since elementary school and were best friends all these years. With love and sympathy, The Akers family

Myself and my family will miss Bob deeply. He was not only a childhood friend of my father's but he was like family to us all, like an Uncle to myself and my brothers. I enjoyed our phone conversations and when I would ask what was new, he would chuckle and say he does a lot of thumb twiddling. My mom and I would mail him Uno candy bars every now and then, one of his favorites, but was unable to purchase there in SD. My brothers and I have fond memories of when we were young and he lived next door to us, and we couldn't wait for him to get home from one of his truck drives so that we could climb inside the truck. One funny memory I have is when my father purchased Osmond Brother concert tickets for myself and a friend, my friend was unable to attend and being at a young age I wasn't allowed to go alone, and my mom needed someone to drive us since my Dad had to stay home and watch my other brothers, so Bob drove my mom and I to the concert and sat through that whole thing! He was a wonderful friend, and we are really going to miss him. God Bless and our deepest sympathy to his sisters. with love Penni and family

To my dear friends who cared about Robert- This is Gerry, Your wonderful words made me remember all the wonderful times we had as young married couples. We had so much fun and the kids brought us such great joy! He was a gentle man, may there be a card game in heaven. You will be missed, Love Gerry aka Little Susie
