Ronald Hinze Sr.

Ronald Hinze, 83, of Webster, SD, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. 

Mass Of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster. Summer inurnment will be at St. Otto's Catholic Cemetery near Webster.
 
Visitation will be Monday 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
 

Ronald Eugene Hinze was born on April 7, 1939, to Gordon and Florence (Wattier) Hinze at Webster, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Otto’s Catholic Church in Webster. He attended school in Webster and graduated in 1957. He furthered his education at SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota.

 

On November 22, 1948, he married Della Fiksdal at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lily, South Dakota. To this union, three children were born: Fawn, Deborah, and Ronald Jr. The family made their home in Day County, South Dakota. After working various jobs in the area, Ron returned to the family farm and farmed until 1979.

 

The couple then moved to Kingsman, Arizona. Ron worked at a factory for several years before he got into real estate and flipping homes. In 2005, he retired, and the couple relocated to the mountains in rural Show Law, Arizona. In May of 2019, the couple returned to Webster and made it their home until present time.

 

Ron enjoyed fishing, playing cards, camping, and gardening. He cherished his family and will be missed dearly by all.

 

Ron passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 83 years, and 29 days.

 

He is survived by his wife Della of Webster, SD, children: Fawn Peterson of Phoenix, AZ, Deborah Frazza of Lego Vista, TX, and Ronald Hinze Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, four grandchildren: Brian Peterson, Adam Peterson, Erica Peterson, and Gina Frazza-Stowers, and three great-grandchildren: Ethan Peterson, Lucas Peterson, and Aryell Peterson. He is also survived by one brother Russell Hinze of Minneapolis, MN and one sister Sharon Flannery of Elk Point, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Judy Gaikowski.
