Roxann Elaine Orr was born on December 19, 1980, along with her twin sister Rachel. She was baptized in the NICU and later in Bethesda Lutheran Church where she was also later confirmed. Roxie attended school in Bristol. On Valentine’s Day of 1998, Roxie was in a life altering car accident. Her determination, willpower, and sometimes pure orneriness, allowed her to graduate with her cherished classmates in 1999. After graduation, she furthered her education at Lake Area Technical School and obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She worked at various medical facilities mainly in northeastern South Dakota. In 2001, she married Randy Wolff at Bethesda Lutheran Church and on May 14, 2005, they welcomed a beautiful daughter, Gwendolyn Marcia to the world. The couple parted ways, and Roxie and Gwen moved to Aberdeen. In 2012, she was united in marriage to Dustin Price. The family made their home in Aberdeen where Roxie continued to work as an LPN. The couple later separated and Roxie and Gwen continued to live in Aberdeen. Three years ago, Roxie moved to Sioux Falls and worked at BAART. Working at BAART was a job she talked about highly and truly enjoyed.
Roxie was known to enjoy napping, all animals, reading, attending car races, and fiddling on social media. She could find humor no matter the ugliness of a situation. She had the gift of making people laugh, like the good ol’ belly laugh! While Roxie had challenges, she never gave up. Her heart was as huge as her infectious laugh! Her grit and determination were admirable. She loved her daughter so much and was so incredibly proud of her. Anytime she spoke of Gwen, her whole face lit up! She loved so big and genuinely.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her daughter Gwendolyn (Carter Schulte) Price of Webster, SD, her parents Harold and Marcia Orr of Bristol, SD, grandmother Carol McFarland of Webster, SD, twin sister Rachel (Keith Kretzschmar)Bahr of Bristol, SD, brothers Paul Orr of Bristol, SD, and David (Christa) Orr of Bristol, SD, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dale and Elaine Orr, Delwin McFarland, and uncle David McFarland.
