Steven Dolney

Steven Dolney, 55, of Webster passed away Thursday April 29, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Private Liturgical Service will be held on Tuesday May 4th, 2021 at 7:30 P.M. at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Public Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday at Fiksdal Funeral Service. Steven Joseph Dolney was born on November 1, 1965 in Webster, South Dakota to Stanley and Shirley (Horst) Dolney. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster. He attended Webster school and graduated in 1984. After his education he worked at the family business, Frontier Tap and later, New Frontier. In 1997 he bought the business from his father Elwood which turned into his life work. Steven loved to make people happy. He always put the needs of his employees and customers before his own. In his free time, he enjoyed going on drives to the family farm, watching the Green Bay Packers, enjoyed drinking Dr. Pepper or Coors Light, watching cooking videos, his cats, Feisty and Minnie, and most of all visiting with his many employees, customers, and friends. Steven passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the age of 55 years, 5 months, and 28 days. Steven will be missed by his two brothers, Doug (Michele) Monson of Sioux Falls, SD and their children Madison and Jackson and Scott Dolney of Aberdeen, SD and his children Jordan and Dylan of Rapid City, SD, the Frontier staff members, and his longtime employee, Judy Zenk. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Dolney and Shirley and Elwood Monson.

I have fond memories of Steve from childhood- him driving the boat with my sisters and I hanging on to the inner tube, and him making us Shirley Temples at the bar. He always had a smile and kind word for other people. Rest in peace, cousin.
