Webster – Una Tvinnereim 92 of Webster passed away Saturday January 12, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Webster. Her funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday January 17, 2019 at Tabor Lutheran Church north of Webster. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 P.M. closing with a 7 P.M. prayer service at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Fiksdalfuneral.com Una Shirley Holland was born on March 6, 1926 to Haagen and Glendora (Sampson) Holland at the family farm in Day County near Pierpont, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Falnes Lutheran Church. She attended country school near the family home and graduated from Pierpont High School in 1944. After high school she worked at the Pierpont bank. On February 2, 1947 she was united in marriage to Ervin Tvinneriem at Falnes Lutheran Church. The couple made their home and farmed in Lynn Township north of Webster, South Dakota. Una stayed home to raise their six children and help with the farming operation. In the early 1970’s she became one of the founding members of Dacotah Inc. in Webster. She worked on the pillow sham production line until she retired in 1998. After her retirement she kept active at Tabor Lutheran Church where she served as treasurer of the church as well as treasurer for Lynn Township for many years. She was president of WMF (Ladies Aide) and taught Sunday school where she served as superintendent. Una enjoyed quilting, baking, sewing, entertaining, and world traveling- making it to Norway twice! She especially loved spending time with her family. Una died on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Webster, South Dakota at the age of 92 years 10 months and 6 days. She is survived by two sons, Paul (Kris) Tvinneriem and Kevin Tvinnereim both of Webster, SD; three daughters, Diane (Loren) Golden, LeeAnn Tvinnereim both of Webster, SD, Shirley Hartman of Aberdeen, SD; two sisters, Hazel Spence of Billings, MT, Janice (Brian) Berkner of Billings, MT; one sister-in-law, Alice Holland of Anoka, MN; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Alan, grandson Grant Golden, sister Laura Stokke, and brother Earl Holland.
